Crazy Bear Fitzrovia

crazy bear bar fitzrovia london

crazy bear bar fitzrovia londonThe Fitzrovia outpost of Crazy Bear is a subterranean treat, so saunter past the stunning hostess and make your way into the underground dungeon-cum-Liberace palace.

On Wednesdays you have the chance to really impress a date here – when you’re slightly short on cash – as the bar knocks 50% off their bubbly. So pull up a couple of the white leather seats overlooking the sunken bronzed bar and nestle in for a romantic and sparkling kind of evening. The cocktail menu is divided up into luxury, exclusives, Thai flavours, Crazy Bear classics and the like, all designed to keep you on track (or off … either way). If you’re wanting something particularly indulgent, order yourself a Pornstar Martini: a passionfruit concoction with a shot of champers on the side. For a more exotic libation, fly to Thailand and try the unusual twist on a Bloody Mary.

The service is what makes this bar especially memorable as the staff happily to cater to your every whim and do it with incredible warmth and grace. They make those slightly higher price tags all worthwhile. And if you’re feeling peckish, make sure to tuck into their small plates primarily of Japanese and Thai influence. It’s worth mentioning that all of the pork is reared at the Crazy Bear farm and the meats are butchered at their farm shop.

Best Bars tip: Don’t miss a trip to the loo. It’s a near-blinding mirrored maze, and is definitely one of the craziest toilets in the city. Just make sure to ask where it is, otherwise you’ll end up in the lads/ladies by mistake.
