As the summer temperatures soar in London, rooftop space is prime real estate, and the Skylounge in Tower Hill is no exception. With two long terraces jutting out like parallel catwalks, they’re a great hangout to catch the last of the day’s rays and grab a quick drink or three.
One of these terraces has been taken over for this summer by Jose Cuervo tequila to create Cuervo’s Cantina, a colourful take on Mexico’s eating and drinking culture that boasts a cute hut busting out a variety of tequila-based drinks while the fun Latina music gets everyone in the mood.
Those looking to cool down should indulge in the Frozen Margarita, which is perfectly balanced and moreish, while those with a preference for bitter flavours should try the Paloma, which uses fresh grapefruit juice and bitter lemon soda.
Best Bars tip: All jugs of drinks are a very reasonable £20, and there are plenty of nibbles to indulge in such as freshly made guacamole and chips, so grab a bunch of work colleagues for a bonding session when it’s time to clock off. Get there early though; it’s first come, first served for tables.
