While you might not be getting a JD and coke, we’re sure you’ll find something to suit your palate. Saddle up to the bar and let the bartenders school you in their thoughtful cocktail ways. The menu changes completely every quarter, but one of the staff (who is ex-Lounge Bohemia) has brought her molecular touch to the list. A past favourite of ours was The Megawatt 2.0 — a Pisco, Noilly Prat vermouth and strawberry syrup drink that is served in an all-too-fun lightbulb. Or (if it’s still available) try the beautifully rich Hobnob Flip with Hobnob-infused Highland Park 10, milk tea syrup and a whole egg.
Whatever you see behind the bar is up for grabs (it’ll cost you, but not too much) – so after a few tipples you can try to play bartender at home and recreate the tasty liquid treats. And if you’ve got a few mates along with you, head downstairs for a darker and more hidden drinking experience.
Best Bars tip: If you’re a fan of vinyl, pay these guys a visit. No digital tunes here, just old school soundtracks and if you bring yours along they might just chuck it on for a spin.
