This pop-up has now ended.
Downstairs from the chic and trendy Archer Street is new pop-up bar Barzinho – and it’s bringing the Brazilian fever to London. The walls are covered in vintage posters and crazy colourful graffiti, giving it an authentic Rio feel – down to the beach shack-cum-DJ booth.
The cocktail list is short but carefully crafted with flavours reminiscent of warmer lands. The aptly named Barzinho is a refreshing and gently sweet mix of Grey Goose Vodka, mango liqueur, lime, pineapple and coconut water. Acidulous Goji berries are the star of signature cocktail The Redeemer, with Leblon Caçhaca, Acai-infused Campari, fresh passionfruit, lime and a touch of vanilla. If these are just a touch too tropical for you, the bar staff will whip you up any classic you’re hankering for.
The bar is small but the crowd makes for a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. You’ll be so deep in your drinks and chat that you might not realise it’s actually the staff belting out those classic tunes. Glance over your shoulder and you’ll see them up on the tables with mics in hand. Here the party really comes at you, from the bouncy Brazilian music to the bejewelled Samba dancers impressively gyrating while wearing sky-high feather headgear.
Best Bars tip: Make the most of the Samba tunes and exotic feel at Barzinho during the summer – it’ll be gone in October.
