Music venue and gin palace combine underneath a railway arch in the south of the city – Gorilla is one for all occasions, any day of the week (and with no actual gorilla in site).
Hit The Parlour on the mezzanine for a dose of exotic gin, with dedications to the Martini and G&T on offer. Feel dizzy with The Aviation – Aviation Gin, Violet and Maraschino liqueurs. Or flip over to the Gin Flip with house buttered gin, smoked Benedictine, a splash of cream, egg and nutmeg to create a homier concoction. It’s not all gin though, numbers such as the Jayne Mansfield – El Dorado 3yr Rum, strawberry and prosecco – will delight you.
An array of culinary delights can make your visit a long one as you can choose between anything from burgers and hot dogs to all-day breakfasts to brunches and everything in between. This place ticks all the “stay” boxes with a giant marker pen – not that you would want to leave.
Best Bars tip: There is a stage in the back room, so don’t be scared when you see a queue of people at the weekend.
