All steel, glass and dark wood, Restaurant Bar and Grill is a stunning setting in the heart of Manchester for lunch, dinner or after-work drinks. The place feels almost entirely alfresco, with a long elevated terrace overlooking the space and large windows letting the light into the dining room.
The cocktail list is classic but well mastered, with special love given to both the G&T and the Spritz. Try Bombay Sapphire Gin with basil, lemon zest and black pepper for something a bit different. Or pick from the likes of Aperol, Rosa or Americano Spritzes if you’re up for a summery fizz. The food is classic British with seasonal inspirations – and the 24-hour marinated flat iron steak is a must.
This place definitely gives off a sophisticated vibe, so dress up and enjoy a little elegance. We’d definitely recommend it for a business lunch – slow or quick (the latter means you can get two courses for £15).
Best Bars tip: Hit the terrace early before it fills up. It’s comfortable with a lovely view, and you’ll get the second bar all to yourselves.
