Less than five years ago The Village was arguably Moseley’s worst pub. Now? Potentially its best. Hundreds of thousands of pounds were pumped into converting this down and out boozer into an urban home from home.
Big leather armchairs for those settling in for wine and relaxation juxtapose with more standard tables and bar stools for those simply after beer and a natter. Giant fireplaces make this place a winter hit, but a triumphant decking-clad beer garden allows for sunshine drinks.
The head chef himself recommends Auberys Famous Faggots in a rich onion gravy or the spiced smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake. Best Bars tip: The Chocolate Caramel Indulgence Cake is world-endingly wonderful.
