Cielo Blanco

Cielo Blanco Leeds barA bright and cheery Mexican delight in Leeds’ Trinity Centre, Cielo Blanco is an all-day eatery dishing out tasty tequila cocktails and spicy, zesty small plates.

For a fresh and easy libation, try the Watermelon and Pear Margarita. Or if you’re feeling playful, order the Rhubarbarita — it’s both fun to say and to drink. For nibbles, it’s best to get a wide spread so go all out with the six-plate tasting menu for two people (just 12 quids a head). The beef quesadillas are cheesy, meaty and everything you’d want. And for a puffy fried bite, try the flaky empanadas.

The airy alfresco terrace has a great view of the city and is perfect for settling in as you work your way through the food and drink menus. This is the kind of place where you can both create and nurse your hangover. Let’s toast to that (with tequila).

Best Bars tip: Head here on a Monday to get treated to some foodie discounts (just go and follow them on Facebook or Twitter to find out what’s going down every week).
