Art of Aperitif at The Langham is a pop-up bar and exhibition sitting in the all-too-lovely Langham Hotel’s Palm Court. Dedicated to all things vermouth and Martini, you can expect to see a collection of some of the brand’s finest prints throughout history within one seriously lush setting.
The aperitivo cocktails have been designed by the talented duo, Alex Kratena and Simone Caporale, who are responsible for the hotel’s award-winning Artesian Bar. A few of the highlights include the Martini Bianco serve with pine, raspberry and crodino that’s accompanied by a plate of chargrilled prawns with red chilli and garlic butter. For a slightly more bitter tipple, try the Martini Rosso with olives, Martini Bitter and chinotto. This sipper comes with beef carpaccio, beans and baby artichoke.
This won’t be around for long, so swing by while you can. And we quote: “If you want to be a happy man, drink vermouth whenever you can.” (This applies to women as well).
Best Bars tip: The Artesian is only a few footsteps away … so once you’ve finished your aperitivos, head over for some more insanely impeccable drinks. The Art of Aperitif is open every day (except Sunday) until 29 November between 6pm-11pm.
